A guide developed in partnership between Nottingham community services and Nottingham city council which has great educational value in how implement interventions to prevent pressure ulcers. Comprehensive guidance is provided in regards to interventions such as skin assessment, repositioning and support surfaces. Written also for staff providing care in the social care sector, it includes a range of assessment tools, care plan templates and patient information leaflets applicable to the care home sector. It uniquely includes a pressure ulcer safeguarding referral pathway, defining circumstances in which safeguarding referral is unlikely/probably/ definitely warranted.
